Participez à la mise à jour d'un redbook DB2 SAP pour z/OS V9

Bonjour,

IBM vous propose de participer à la mise à jour de la version 9 du redbook DB2 intitulé :

- Best Practices for SAP Business Information Warehouse

dont le nouveau titre est :

- Update Best Practices for SAP BIW for DB2 V9, ZS-S230-R01

Description
Clients will want to know how to exploit the new features of both DB2 v9 and SAP in their SAP BW environments. This IBM Redbook will describe the benefits of DB2 V9 for SAP Business Information Warehouse. It will cover best practices, and provides performance and tuning recommendations.SAP Business Information Warehouse is the central reporting tool for almost all SAP business solutions. It is based on building blocks called InfoObjects that contain data about customers, sales, and business information. InfoObjects include InfoSources, ODS objects, and InfoCubes. The business intelligence solution from IBM and SAP can help you aggregate and leverage this information, giving you a system-wide view of your business data and delivering it across your enterprise to support sound business decisions. However, this structure can lead to slow performance if the system is not set up and managed according to good database principles. This redbook describes best practices for this product on a zSeries platform, and provides performance and tuning recommendations for loading and querying data. It also addresses general system administration and troubleshooting. The audience for this redbook includes SAP and DB2 administrators. Knowledge of these products and of the z/OS environment is assumed.

Sommaire prévu
Chapter 1. Introduction
Chapter 2. Top ten SAP BW recommendations
Chapter 3. Best practices for PSA
Chapter 4. Best practices for InfoCubes

Redbook Data Sharing in a Nutshell

Bonjour,

IBM vient de mettre à disposition un nouveau Redbook intitulé, "DB2 for z/OS: Data Sharing in a Nutshell, SG24-7322-00" :
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/sg247322.html?Open

Résumé
DB2 for z/OS takes advantage of data sharing technology in a z Parallel Sysplex to provide applications with full concurrent read and write access to shared DB2 data. Data sharing allows users on multiple DB2 subsystems, members of a data sharing group, to share a single copy of the DB2 catalog, directory, and user data sets.Data sharing provides many improvements to availability and capacity without impacting existing applications. The road to data sharing might seem arduous if you are a novice user, but once you have started to learn terminology and gain basic understanding, things will become much easier. This IBM Redbook is meant to facilitate your journey towards data sharing by providing a cookbook approach to the main tasks in enabling data sharing and workload balancing. Our book does not have all the answers, since it is a brief summary of a large field of knowledge, but it contains the key elements and it points you in the right direction to get more details. Throughout this document we assume that your sysplex environment is set up and a DB2 subsystem exists at a currently supported level.
